What Happened to the Cheese Guy?
Up next: All new Inner Limits Investigates:. “What Happened to the Cheese Guy?”
Celebrity cheese blogger Guy Edwards disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
New evidence points to buried treasure, cult activity and something far worse along the desolate coastline of Northern California...
Cheese guy is fake trailer for a fake TV show about the paranormal... Originally I'd planned to make a longer short covering the entire segment, but I simplified it down to a basic trailer to finish it in a realistic amount of time.

The Making of... a Monster...
Some details on how the film and more specifically the monster was made below:
The Monsters
Shamelessly ripping off The Shadow Over Innsmouth, Guy is abducted by fish men. You can read it here. The 64 dollar question is, will the monsters be rubber or triangles? I'm supposed to be learning how to do this stuff in the computer, so its going to very much depend on how hard it is to get decent results. If I can't get something decent in the computer I may switch to hand or stop motion puppets. The monster is never intended to be fully seen or on screen for more than a second so either way good lighting and animation is probably more important that actual quality of the monster model.
One thing that is on my mind, is that if the monster is CG, it probably won't have clothing since that complicates the model significantly however if its practical, then clothing actually makes creating the creature simpler, since sewing up some tattered and filthy robes is easier than building detailed muscle and skin texture for the creatures arms.

Some early attempts
Trying to get a feel for the various digital brushes as well as doing basic outlines for models using subdiv surfaces. Its a learning process, but it's fun too.
