An alternate past. WW2 never happened. Japan has returned to her feudal ways. Mighty Shoguns vie for control of the land, but their loyal Samurai rely on high powered fighter planes as well as their swords.

Out of Russia a new power is emerging. Hungry for power and influence, they test Japan's defenses with a series of daring raids.
Building a Swallow

The Kawasaki Hien is quite unusual for a Japanese plane of the era in that it has an inline watercooled engine. It looks quite similar to German and Italian planes of the same era for a good reason. The engine is a license built German engine, and most fighters are designed around their engine. To read more about the history of the plane click here.
